Affiliate and safety disclosure

Read this before you use any link on the site. It is the full version of the notice at the top of every page.

Updated

This page is the full notice. The shorter version sits at the top of every guide so you do not have to hunt for it.

Commissions

Well Iron Filter may earn a commission if you buy through a link, at no extra cost to you. That is an advertising relationship with a manufacturer, not a fee added to your order.

Commissions are not active yet. We have not placed affiliate tracking links on this site. A link to SpringWell, US Water Systems, or SoftPro is an ordinary link to that company's own site. It does not contain a tracking code, a coupon code, or an affiliate id.

Those links are still marked sponsored in the page source. That mark is there so the relationship stays obvious if a program is approved later and a tracking code is added. If that happens, this page will be updated in the same edit.

Commission rates are not listed here. A rate is a contract term, and it does not help you read a lab sheet. It also should not decide which system is described first.

Order of the comparisons

SpringWell, US Water Systems, and SoftPro appear because they are the three direct-to-consumer brands shoppers already compare for this job. The order on a page is not a ranking and it is not for sale. We do not accept payment to move a brand up, to hide a limit, or to call one system the best.

No page declares a winner from our own testing, because we have not tested these products. Nothing on the site is a lab result produced by Well Iron Filter.

Safety

An iron, sulfur, or manganese filter does not make microbiologically unsafe water safe. It does not fix coliform bacteria, E. coli, nitrates, arsenic, or lead. Get a lab test before you buy. If the lab flags bacteria or another health contaminant, talk to your health department or a licensed water professional before you rely on a filter.

This site is not medical advice, not legal advice, and not a licensed water-treatment design. It does not tell you that any filter makes water safe to drink.

Prices and spec sheets

We do not publish a price unless we have just read it on the manufacturer's page, and even then we would rather send you to that page. Check the current price on the manufacturer site. Treatment limits, flow rates, and pH ranges change the same way. Quote the sheet you are looking at, not a number you remember from this site.

Well disinfection

We do not publish bleach doses, concentrations, or a how-to for shocking a well. That procedure belongs to your state health department, your county cooperative extension, or a licensed well contractor. See the rotten-egg smell guide.

Sources we treat as primary

When a number appears, it is from a public agency page we linked, not from a review blog. The ones these guides rely on:

Manufacturer pages are their own claims. We link them so you can read the current sheet. We do not copy their marketing.

Updates

Guides show an updated date. The date on this build is October 2026. If a limit, a link, or a commission relationship changes, the page should change with it. A date is not a promise that every manufacturer sentence is still current. Their sites remain the spec sheets.
